An atmospheric portrait of Voodoo, the film reveals four communities in the south of Haiti. It parallels the Voodoo creation story with the historical creation of the free nation of Haiti. Featuring an original score by acclaimed musician Nick Zammuto, with voiceover by Max G. Beauvoir, a houng’an and internationally recognised authority on Voodoo.

Shot entirely on the Nokia N8 mobile phone. Winner of the Nokia Shorts competition 2011. The screen is split down the middle. On the left we witness the world through the eyes of a woman. On the right we see the world through the eyes of a man. Although they live thousands of miles apart, their lives seem to be inextricably linked.

A FINGER, TWO DOTS, THAN ME

Directed by David Holechek, USA 2011, 7:40 min, Experimental

A spoken-word piece, based on a popular poem by modern beat poet Derrick Brown, the film takes a dramatic look at death, life and love through the eyes of Brown, who has performed around the world as a headliner and with bands such as the Flaming Lips and the Cold War Kids.

A film about young and old love in a simple, drawn in a lose and touching drama.  Weightless the film glides along on passion and approaches the painful realization of having missed an important moment.
