“Focus On” is our shorts program series, themed to showcase cinematic excellence by country, genre, or other resonating topic or “focus”. These events are ticketed, and often feature local filmmakers or valued members of the community to lead discussions with the audience about the presented topic. We partner with local organizations and businesses on these events, to bring important topics into the spotlight and to initiate conversations with the community..

Rose Max & Ramatis is a music duo specializing in the popular Brazilian music styles of samba, bossa nova, and chorinho. Both born in Rio de Janeiro, Rose Max and Ramatis Moraes moved to the U.S. in 1993 and now call Miami Beach home. Rose, a singer and songwriter, comes from a long line of Brazilian music legends and now performs and records music around the world. Ramatis, an acousic guitar player, was born to a family of artists and became a successful songwriter, producer, and arranger. The duo has received various awards for Ramatis’s work as a producer and musician and for Rose’s vocal talents. Through performances and presentations, Rose Max & Ramatis share their passion for Brazilian culture and an appreciation for the mix of traditions that contribute to Brazil’s rich musical history.
